Mr Rugare Chidembo - Managing Director
B.Acc(UZ), MBA(UZ), CA(Z)
Rugare’s Business Philosophy: developed on the Business Development & Management battlegrounds:-
“When faced with a business problem, reduce variables, think and think again, do not be constrained by history and you will come up with a sweet, sweet breakthrough solution. Never ever fail to resolve. If need be negotiate and negotiate again. Giving up is not an option”.
His strengths and attributes include:
A lot of experience in managing Board Audit Committees and occasionally acting as Board Chairman; now looking for high value entrepreneurial challenges and substantive Board Chairmanships in addition to board memberships.
Keenly interested in development of management concepts which ensure that shareholders are rewarded as opposed to the traditional way of just maximising management rewards.
He has developed from being a hard and direct talker into an accomplished diplomatic goal oriented negotiator. This has been achieved through the rough and tumble of serving some of the most successful entrepreneurs during highly fluid stages of companies.
He is highly analytical and good at quick study of documentation including finer details of contracts, resolutions and board papers but still maintaining the strategic role of board membership.
He prioritises Cash-flow Management and encourages cautious Debt uptake.
He is a firm believer in balancing the interests of main shareholders and minority shareholders.
He is exploring Adaptive Business Strategies for survival in dynamic and uncertain economies.
He has international experience having lived and working in South Africa for ten years.
